What to wear for an Engagement Shoot? Answers from a Dallas Photographer

Spring is on it’s way and while my fiance and I are preparing to take our engagement photos, I thought this blog post would be helpful because deciding what to wear can be such a headache!!   It can be super tricky picking out a couple of outfits that depict you as a couple, that photograph well AND that are comfortable.   The most important this to remember is that you want to pick something out that truly represents your style, that way the photos will be more natural.  Also, make sure you and your fiance’s outfits compliment each other well.  I typically recommend two outfit changes per couple, one being more casual and one being a little more dressed up.  Below are some outfit examples that work great for being photographed!   Hope this helps:)

Jada’s Stunning Bridals- Las Colinas Canals

I was so excited to finally meet Jada in person after emailing back and forth for so long.  She was such a sweetheart and I am so glad that she asked me to capture her bridals.   Not only was her dress STUNNING but this girl can work it for the camera!  We walked around the Las Colinas Canals and had a blast cracking jokes and laughing up a storm.  I want to take a moment and thank Jada  for not only being so amazing to work with but for serving our country and being a Captain in the United States Army.  You go girl!

Dallas Wedding Photographer- Modern Bridals with a Retro Twist

I am SO excited to finally share these images!   This is the second styled shoot that Tracy (hair and makeup) and I have done together and I could not be happier with the results.  We wanted to have a modern bride in a retro chic environment, therefore we thought a mod top knot bun, hot pink lipstick and a vintage looking diner would create a great look!  We walked around the Bishop Arts District and just had some fun while getting a lot of attention on the way.  This girl can rock it!  It is hard not to fall in love with such a gorgeous girl, milkshakes and balloons…take a look!
